Dutchman Henk van den Bergh climbed last week the Kilimanjaro (5895 m), dressed in just shoes and shorts. He completed the climb with 25 teammates in 77 hours, normal is 6 days. Henk followed the last 12 month the Wim Hof Method, which taught him how to control his heart rate, breathing and blood circulation. Now he can resist temperatures of minus 20 celcius for hours and he can stay in water of zero degree celcius for 5 minutes or more. Remarkable side effect is that Henk’s rheumatism in the last year has diminished for more than 50%. The cost of his medication has been reduced from € 12.000/year to less than € 5.000/year.
